This is well made piece of history. It is fully functional and is still easy to open to get coins out. It is ALL original, but the paint has some wear. There is no rust or corrosion on either the outside or the inside of the piece. To insert a coin, depress the tail to extend the trunk, then place a coin in the trunk and let go of the tail.
